Our Editorial Team: How Skelair Guides Are Produced
Our Editorial Team is a small group of writers, editors and subject-matter contributors who produce the guides published on Skelair. This page explains who does what, how an article moves from idea to publication, and how readers can contact the people responsible for the content.
Articles on Skelair are published under the byline Skelair Editorial Team. The byline means that a guide has been researched, drafted and reviewed through the process described below, rather than published by a single unreviewed writer. Where a named specialist contributes to an article, their name and background will be shown on that article and added to this page.
How the Team Is Organised
Skelair does not use anonymous, unreviewed content. Each article passes through defined roles, even though one person may hold more than one role on a small project.
Writers and contributors
Writers research a topic, plan the structure and draft the article. Specialist contributors, for example people with experience in construction, drilling or civil engineering, may advise on technical sections or write them directly. Contributors are asked to stay within what they can support and to say clearly when a point depends on the project.
Editors
Editors check that the article answers the question it sets out to answer, that the explanation is logical and that technical wording is careful rather than absolute. They also check for clarity, so that a reader without a technical background can still follow the main argument.
Fact-checking

Before publication, factual statements are checked against suitable sources such as official guidance, standards bodies, manufacturer documentation or recognised industry references. Where a figure cannot be verified, we leave it out or explain that it varies, rather than present an estimate as fact.
Standards We Hold Ourselves To
The team follows the principles set out in our Editorial Policy. In short, we aim to be accurate, to separate editorial content from paid content, to correct errors promptly and to avoid claims that we cannot support.
Corrections
If you believe an article contains an error, email product@skelair.com with the page address and a short description of the problem. We review every correction request and update the article where the evidence supports a change.
Professional advice
Our guides are general information. They are not a substitute for advice from a qualified engineer, surveyor, architect, health and safety professional or solicitor who can assess your particular project.
Joining the Team
We are interested in hearing from experienced writers and practitioners who can explain their field clearly. If you would like to contribute, read the Write for Us guidelines and send a short introduction and topic idea to product@skelair.com.
Conclusion
Behind every Skelair guide is a process designed to keep information accurate and readable. Knowing who is responsible for the content, and how it is reviewed, helps readers decide how much weight to give it, and we will keep this page up to date as the team grows.
